July 31, 2017 Notice to applicants regarding posting new ATIPP requests online.

January 9, 2017 - You can now submit ATIPP requests online using our new "beta" service. Check it out and let us know what you think!

December 14, 2016 - One year ago, Yukon government opened up the ATIPP Act for review.

In June 2016, we launched a public engagement survey to ask Yukoners what they thought about the ATIPP Act, their experiences with ATIPP requests, and what they thought could be done to change or improve the act.

This report incorporates the responses to this public engagement survey, the Yukon’s Information and Privacy Commissioner’s review of the act published in 2015, as well as the conclusions from policy development discussions held within Yukon government and an evaluation of access and privacy legislation in other jurisdictions.

The report is a summary and assessment of the current ATIPP Act and does not contain recommendations for any act amendments. It points out areas and opportunities where improvements to accessing information and protecting privacy could be considered.
